Root canal treatment

Root canal treatment is described to eliminate bacteria from the root canal, badly infected or damaged. The therapy prevents reinfection of the tooth and save the tooth from further decay.  During the surgery of the root canal, the infected pulp or nerve is extracted. The infected area is cleaned and disinfected. Lastly, the space or chamber is filled by a biocompatible material called gutta-percha and sealed with a crown. The three steps of saving the tooth requires two-three dental visits.
