Dentistry for children- In the dental industry, there is a different section for children dental care called dentistry for children. Also medically termed ‘pediatric dentistry’. In this field there are dental professionals who have completed a specialized course of dentistry that is related to children dental health from a newborn baby to a teenager. The kids dentist has pursued specialized training for two to three years after graduating from dental school. In the training sessions it includes, working on the children who have more severe dental needs and emergencies, and training in numerous orthodontic teeth-straightening methods in children. Pediatric dentists bond closely with patients and their parents regarding their oral health and care.
Orthodontist- A orthodontist is a specialised dentist who deals with certain types of dental problems. Consulting an orthodontist is very rare. They are available only when a general dentist recommends for braces treatment. An orthodontist specifically focuses on the areas that include the mouth, jaw, teeth, gums, and nerves. Orthodontists work in a more specialized section of the field. Their basic priority is straightening of the teeth. In simpler terms, all orthodontists are general dentists but few general dentists are orthodontists. They have specifically practiced, gained knowledge and experience in this subject. An orthodontist is an expert who repairs dental conditions like overbites, occlusions, misaligned teeth and jaws, and overcrowded mouths.
Periodontal treatment- Periodontal diseases result in infections and inflammation of the gums and bone that surround and support the teeth. In its early stage, periodontal disease was called gingivitis. The symptoms of periodontal diseases is, swollen red gums and bleeding. In its more serious form, the gums may pull away from the tooth, bone can be lost, and the teeth may get loose or even fall out if not treated before time. Periodontal disease is mostly seen in adults. Periodontal disease and tooth decay are the two major threats to dental health. Periodontal disease is caused due to bacteria in the mouth that infects tissue surrounding the tooth, causing inflammation around the tooth leading to periodontal disease. When bacteria stay on the teeth long enough, they form a film called plaque, which eventually hardens to tartar. Tartar build-up can spread below the gum line, which makes the teeth harder to clean. Then, only a dental health professional can remove the tartar and stop the periodontal disease process through periodontal treatment.
